About Whisk & Willow

Meet the Baker

Hi, I'm Ashley!

I'm the baker and heart behind Whisk & Willow — a small home bakery in Chandler, Arizona.

Whisk & Willow was created from my love of baking, creating things from scratch, and sharing something homemade with the people around me. What started with a love for being in the kitchen has grown into something I'm incredibly excited to share with my community.

I love the process of taking simple ingredients and turning them into something that makes someone's day a little sweeter — whether that's a warm cookie, a loaf of sourdough, a cinnamon roll, or something made especially for a celebration.

A Little Bit About My Kitchen

There's something special about homemade food. It takes time. It takes patience. Sometimes it takes a little trial and error. But that's part of what I love about baking.

Every Whisk & Willow bake is made in small batches with care, from mixing the dough to pulling the finished goodies from the oven.

My goal isn't to make thousands of identical pastries. I want Whisk & Willow to feel like the kind of little bakery you discover at your local farmers market — where you get to know the person behind the treats and leave with something made with genuine care.

Our Name

Why "Whisk & Willow"?

The "Whisk" represents the heart of the kitchen — mixing, creating, experimenting, and of course, baking.

The "Willow" brings in the softer, whimsical side of the business: nature, warmth, and a little bit of magic.

Together, Whisk & Willow is meant to feel like a cozy little corner where good things are made.

Home Baked Magic is more than just a tagline. It's the feeling I want every bake to have.

What I Love to Bake

Honestly? Pretty much everything.

I love baking because there is always something new to learn. Every recipe has its own little challenge, whether it's learning how a dough behaves, figuring out the perfect texture, experimenting with flavors, or trying something I've never made before.

And I'll be honest — baking isn't always easy. Sometimes a recipe doesn't turn out the way I imagined. Sometimes the dough is stubborn, something doesn't rise the way it should, or I end up wondering what on earth I did wrong. There have definitely been moments when baking has left me frustrated.

But that's also what keeps me coming back.

The challenge is part of the magic.

There's something incredibly rewarding about struggling through a recipe, learning from it, trying again, and finally creating something that makes you think, “I did that.”

I love the creativity, the patience, the little experiments, and especially the moment when something comes out of the oven and is even better than I imagined.

Whether I'm making something familiar or attempting something completely new, I love the process of turning simple ingredients into something made with my own hands — and then getting to share it with someone else.

That's what baking means to me.
